We are the mirror as well as the face in it.
We are tasting the taste this minute
of eternity. We are pain
and what cures pain, both. We are
the sweet, cold water and the jar that pours.

My response:
We, and the children we nurture, are sacred because they are emanations of the Universe's Creative power. Each is a miracle of potential.
They are arrows sent by us into the future.
God willing, included in what our sacrifices cause to grow in them will be qualities that will enable them to overcome ego, overcome what Eckhart Tolle calls the pain-body. In that lies the future justice, unity & peace of the world.
In every classroom and family we need to nurture democracy, conflict resolution and peace-building, as well as economic skills.
